Lunenburg Select Board reconstitutes dormant Personnel Committee, fills 12 volunteer seats

LUNENBURG — June 15, 2026 — Lunenburg Select Board reconstitutes its dormant Personnel Committee and fills seats on six boards in a single evening session. Meeting Monday, the three-member board — Chair Renee, Glenn, and Brian — made 12 appointments across the Architectural Preservation District Committee, Americans with Disabilities Committee, Council on Aging, Conservation Commission, Cultural Council, Green Communities Committee, and Personnel Committee, with all votes unanimous. The most significant action was seating David Bartlett (one-year term), Pauline Roy (two-year term), and Tanya Bollett-Dahl (three-year term) on the Personnel Committee, which has not met since at least 2024 and administers the town's non-union employee compensation and classification bylaw. Bollett-Dahl, an HR liaison and union representative at Harvard University's Bloomberg Center for Cities who previously submitted written concerns to the town manager about the bylaw's scope, told the board: "I think the work isn't done." The board also appointed structural engineer Molly Wagner and Andrew Gillis to the Architectural Preservation District Committee after longtime member Nathan Lockwood voluntarily stepped aside, saying: "We couldn't recruit from this committee for years — take the gift." Historical Commission, PAC, Conservation Commission, and two Green Communities associate seats remain unfilled.
