LUNENBURG — The Lunenburg Sewer Commission voted to deny a payment plan and send a delinquent Sunny Hill Road account to tax lien. Commissioners Dan Proctor, Scott Dahl and Chairman Brett Ramston approved sending the $1,529.21 balance at 424 Sunny Hill Road to the town tax collector after Sewer Business Manager Andrew Valliere said the account's last non-escrow payment came in May 2023 and two prior payment plans went unmet. Dahl said turning the case over to the treasurer "is the only real way to collect." Member Chip Wilson was absent.
Separately, staff told the board the state caps sewer interest at 14 percent; Lunenburg currently charges 12 percent and a $10 demand fee unchanged for years, with any increase requiring a public hearing. Commissioners also voted 3-0 to move their December 29 meeting to January 12, 2027.
